Corey and Bruce's New Addition to The Family

I love an opportunity where I can work and at the same time enjoy a beautiful day on the beach. I am so grateful that my job allows me to do just that. This month, I had a shoot at the beach for the second time. The first one was in Santa Monica, and this one was in Malibu. Last week I had the pleasure to document Corey and Bruce's excitement over Corey's pregnancy. OK, meet Corey and Bruce:

These two are one of the cutest, liveliest couples I have ever met. They are both very talented, incredibly creative artists and now there is a little bundle of joy on the way to increase the level of love of this family.

Paradise Cove is one of the first beaches I have ever visited in California. Back than, there was a restaurant called "Sand Castle" and it was not quite as popular as today. The restaurant is now called Paradise Cove, and it is one of the best places to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Southern California. Not surprisingly, this lovely couple chose this place to have their photographs taken. We met at the restaurant for lunch and enjoyed some drinks together, goofed around the restaurant a bit and than we headed to the beach.

The gorgeous weather added even more positive vibes to this couple's lovely energy and my work day turned into a fun day.

I look forward to meet the little one, and I wish them all a healthy, happy and prosperous life!

Vivienne And Her Friends

It's been a little while since I dedicated a Friday Photography Blog to my daughter, so here it goes. Before I get to VivoşMinnoş and her friends, here are couple of pictures my wife took. I have to tell you that I will be training her to shoot with me as she has a keen eye for creative shots and a talent to use the camera...

My wife takes Vivienne to Tot Time that was recommended by a great friend of ours. Vivienne hangs out there with our friends' son David and many other kids. One morning, I made time and went there with them in order to snap a few pictures. I came to find out that one particular area of the basketball court where they set up the tot time playground has excellent lighting.

Here is an "Aawwwww!" moment when David not only shared his snack with my daughter, but he actually fed her.

I did take the pictures of a few other kids as well. I had to document this little guy. He was so proud of his Spider-Man costume!

And there was this little cutie who was playing with a fireman's hat...

And my little baby girl watching and observing everything that is going on around her.

Let's finish it up with a shot of Vivi with Uncle Rooben. She was interested in making a lot of noise using that drum.

Ke'Shae & Julio's Engagement Session

I met a wonderful couple last Saturday to shoot their engagement session in Santa Monica. Ke'Shae and Julio has been together for 6 years and they decided to get married. I was so happy they found me to document their engagement and their wedding. Look at these big genuine smiles!

We started with a very casual yet beautiful setting. We went under the Santa Monica Pier. We had some concerns about the weather when we first arranged the details of the shoot; it was at the beginning of January and it was raining and cold in Los Angeles. But it was a warm February afternoon, and we enjoyed the cool ocean breeze underneath the pier.

We had some fun down there. We did a few posed shots and than I let the lovers alone to walk around, talk to each other and goof around. While they were hanging out, I took my long lens and grabbed a few candids. We went on the pier and Ke'Shae and Julio satisfied their sweet tooth with some ice cream. It was the right call on this warm, sunny, gorgeous California Saturday.

Following the Pier shoot, we headed to Palisades Park. Ke'Shae and Julio dressed up for the occasion...

I had a blast with them within a few hours, I can't imagine how much fun it will be to spend the entire day shooting this young and lovely couple's wedding... I definitely look forward to it!

Sarah & Jonathan's Wedding

The first wedding I shot this year was the intimate ceremony and warm reception of Sarah and Jonathan in gorgeous Dana Point, CA.

Sarah is British and Jonathan is from Los Angeles. He is a bright cinematographer working in film and television alike. Both of the families were enjoying themselves and they were very humorous throughout the night. The intimate ceremony was in the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in San Juan Capistrano.

Following the ceremony, we had a quick session with the wedding party.

Then we drove to Dana Point in order to catch the beautiful colors on the beach. California prepared a gorgeous sunset for this lovely couple's portrait session!

After the gorgeous sunset, we drove up to Cannons Seafood & Grill on top of the hill looking down to the Dana Point Marina, and the first thing we did was to take care of the family portraits. Here is the bride and groom's families posing for my fish-eye.

Some of the details from the restaurant.

And the gorgeous couple's firts dance...

The dances, the partying and the laughter continued the whole night long and it sure did look like these two were ready to make that go on for a lifetime! Congratulations Sarah and Jonathan!
