Jennifer & Marcus' Wedding

Last Saturday, my two photographers friends asked me to join them to shoot the wedding of a lovely couple, Jennifer and Marcus...
First things first, let me recognize these two cool chicks with cameras, the very talented duo behind the Blue Buddha Photography:  Jennifer Castle and Robin Manno.

I will let the pictures speak, please note that this week's blog's focus are mainly the inanimate objects of importance, except the first and the last picture. I will let the pictures speak.

I would like to wish to Jennifer and Marcus a healthy and happy togetherness in prosperity! Thank you for making me a part of your happy day!

See you next week!

Marcus Jordan Rogers

My brother(-in-law) just graduated on Thursday.
Congratulations buddy! And good luck at LSU.

I would like to leave you with the thoughts of my wife Jennifer and a few pictures of Marcus.

The only thing I ever wanted, from the time I remember having memories, was a little brother. I used to ask my mom for one, as if she could run down to the grocery store and pick one up. I was patient (and at times, not so patient) and finally, I got my wish in the form of a high school graduation gift; a perfect little baby brother.

This past week, my perfect little baby brother, himself, graduated from high school. The circle is complete and as I watch him continue along his path to becoming an endearing, caring and thoughtful young man, I feel nothing, but grateful for every single moment of my life with him in it.

Scenes from Los Angeles Part 3

It's been a busy week and as you all know World Cup is starting today... So, i really didn't have time as I was choosing my game brackets on ESPN.com and reading all about the teams and the odds and all that stuff...

This doesn't mean i forgot about you!

OK, it's an easy, lazy one, and it may not be as important as the World Cup, but it is very relevant to Californians who have been witnessing a crack down on Medical Marijuana Dispensers. This place cracks me up every time I pass in front of it (on Jefferson Blvd. by Centinela), because it's always 4:20 in there!!!

See you next week!

Car Show in Frazier Park CA

On May 27, 2010 Saturday, I drove a little more than 50miles north of Hollywood to get in Frazier Park for a classic car show.
I was sure that I would get some interesting shots and I would have a lot of fun and I wasn't disappointed.

I really liked this muscular Corvette. It was the first car on the left in the area of "Show Cars".

Although I'm not really sure which show that Corvette was on, if there is something strange in the neighborhood, all of us know who we gonna call!

The Ford Falcon Interceptor from the Mad Max series. The version in these photographs is from Mad Max 2.

I LOVE "detail"...

A loud yet fantastic summer ride...

A 2CV!
I have such fond memories of this car!
When I was living in France, we would get into this little car and go to the beach.
Good times...

Another nostalgic shot...
This dashboard reminds me of my childhood and my highschool years when I used to take the "dolmuş" to go to the ferries that would take me to the other side of the Bosphorus, to my school.
"Dolmuş" means "full" or "stuffed" and it is usually a privately owned vehicle that runs on set routes within cities for a fixed fee that passengers would share.
Today, the vehicles used as Dolmuş are specifically manufactured for this purpose. Back then, old American cars (most of them stretched to accommodate 8 passengers) were used for this purpose.
There was a gorgeous, very clean, not-stretched Chevrolet Bel-Air that ran my usual route.

Let's wrap-up with a few detail shots of a few famous show cars, shall we?
Here is the hood of the Chevy Camaro from Transformers, aka Bumblebee.

Magnum P.I.'s red Ferrari...

The one and only Knight Rider! The owner was watching Avatar on the screen.
The car had a hidden speaker under the hood broadcasting random quotes from K.I.T.T.!

Movie buffs may guess which car this is...
There will be more on this car later, probably in July! See you next week!
